atm i have 6 rock/booms w/ glasses, 6 rad/honeys with shades, 6 tabby/phosphors with bowties/ribbons, 6 crystal/hunters with monocles/mustaches, and a corral of 50 pinks with googly eyes in the lab, along with an extractor of each type by the wall opposite the barn and one by the entrance to the area to let me know when to check the others, warps to each of the areas the other extractors are in to streamline the proccess all along the right wall when facing the barn, the left wall has a warp to my plort market, and another to the middle of the ruins where i plan to put my echo nets, and a warp depot for excess carrots from my farms, and a taming bell by my hunter/crystals. My setup was: once the docks are out, the quantums will likely move there so i can turn the grotto back in to a free range area for about 20 crystal slimes with all the lower plotd ofcourse being odd onions. I like to watch their facial expressions and pick out the ones that look hungry and shoot the chickens at their faces. They usually catch them in midair and gobble them right down. So many that the 3 or 4 hunters i manage to catch usually get the elderly ones.

in the 2 plots before the overgrowth i have carrots for my pink slimes, and odd onions that my crystal/hunters get- along with enough carrots to make a full harvest as food for the day. Leave a format such as any time i have excess food from harvests overlapping through the night go to my 50 pinks. Looking forward to the Docks can always use more spots not sure what i will use them for just yet.Kinda want to see the docks space first and rather or not it will make for a good free ranging spot or not.if not may use it for extra gradens or corral. "Best" can mean any number of things. i let them multiple at my main base- soon i have hundreds of them. Nuke Largos (aka Boom Rads), fed Oca Ocas 4. main area has cuberries heart betts, and oca oca, for my slimes, as well as a coop with no less than 2 roostros, 2 stoney hens, and 2 briar hens to top off my reserves when bOB needs some chickens, or otherwise to give some extra food to my 15 hunters in my overgrowth. I feed them by hand though. I've made/use that for make my set-up , enjoy it , it should help. 2 plots of food for my 10 quantum slimes that reside there; what they area and what feeds them depends on what plorts in the refinery i'm particuarly low on- hence the 10 instead of the usual 6. once i'm full up on plorts, oca oca with quantum/rads will be my default. then a warp to the actual entrence of the moss blanket, right before the less useful warp to the path leading to the moss blanket. if they ever become a thing, i want to make some scareslimes at each exit to the overgrowth to keep my hunters in check. and a warp depot on the right side of my barn linking to a spot next to the plort market specifically for gold plorts, with some decorations that i forget the names of in the other spots. I need a fast n easy setup, where it's neat and not all over the place, and I can easily access my gardens. the other plots are 2 pogo trees and some carrots to make sure i always have at least 100 bits of food for my pinks.
